El Celler de Can Roca, Fine dining restaurant in Girona, Spain
El Celler de Can Roca is a fine dining restaurant in Girona that serves multi-course tasting menus with seasonal produce. The venue includes several rooms with soft lighting and simple tables spread across two floors.
The brothers opened the restaurant in 1986 beside their parents' inn in a smaller space. They moved to a larger building in 2007 that allowed more guests and an expanded wine cellar.
The three Roca brothers run the restaurant together, bringing different expertise in cooking, wine, and pastry. Each course showcases local ingredients from the Girona area, interpreted through new preparation methods.
Reservations open on the first day of each month at midnight for dates up to eleven months ahead. The menus last several hours, so allow enough time for the full experience.
The wine list includes around 80,000 bottles from all over the world, stored in a dedicated cellar area. For guests who do not drink alcohol, the team develops special pairings using juices, teas, and fermented drinks.
