Santa Pola extends across 58.6 square kilometers of Mediterranean coastline, featuring numerous beaches and a working fishing port at 6 meters above sea level.

The area transformed from an ancient Roman port called Portus Ilicitanus into a strategic settlement following the construction of a defensive castle in the 16th century.
