Torre Mapfre

Torre Mapfre is a 154-meter office building with 44 floors featuring a glass and steel facade that reflects sunlight throughout the day. Inside are office spaces, a shopping center on the ground level, and multiple conference rooms for business functions.

Construction of this tower was part of Barcelona's urban development for the 1992 Olympic Games, marking the start of a new district. The project helped transform the harbor area into a modern business quarter.

The building forms a visual anchor alongside the neighboring Hotel Arts, shaping how visitors perceive Barcelona's modern architectural identity. This pairing of gleaming towers became a symbol of the city after its transformation.

The tower is located in the Olympic district and is easily reached by public transportation with metro access nearby. The area is best explored on foot as the neighborhood is well-designed for walking.

The building's roof holds one of Spain's highest helicopter landing pads, marked by a red Mapfre logo visible from many points around the city. This landing pad remains little known to most visitors and gives the rooftop special significance.
