CN Atlètic-Barceloneta

CN Atlètic-Barceloneta is a water sports club operating from the Sant Sebastià municipal swimming pools and provides multiple pools, fitness facilities, tennis courts, a spa, and a restaurant. The venue combines aquatic and land-based sports in a single location near the beach.

The club was founded in 1913 and became one of the city's oldest sports organizations with a long-standing tradition. In 2013, it received the Saint George's Cross and the Gold Plate of the Royal Order of Sports Merit in recognition of its contributions.

The club operates as a member-driven community where people gather not just for training but also to shape decisions about the organization's direction through regular meetings. This participatory approach gives members a real voice in how the facility develops.

The facility sits directly on Barceloneta beach and is easily accessible, with the main entrance near Pl Mar 1 in the Ciutat Vella district. Weekday hours run from early morning to late evening, making it easier to visit on working days.

The men's water polo team won the European championship in 2014, gaining international recognition for the club. This achievement brought attention far beyond Barcelona and demonstrated the quality of training available at the facility.
