Barcelona Wax Museum

The Barcelona Wax Museum is located in the Gothic Quarter and displays around 150 hand-crafted wax figures arranged in roughly 28 different scenes. The exhibition is spread across several rooms within a neoclassical building and presents figures from various time periods.

The museum opened in 1973 during a period when Barcelona was attracting growing numbers of international visitors. Since its founding, the collection has evolved to reflect changing interests and the personalities that shape society.
