Castillo de Santueri, Rock castle in Felanitx, Spain
The fortress stands at 408 meters elevation on Sierra de Levante, featuring three square towers, one circular tower, and walls stretching 300 meters.
The medieval structure underwent substantial renovations in 1348, resulting in the construction of 370 battlements and the modification of previous Roman and Byzantine remains.
The castle represents one of three rock fortifications in Mallorca, demonstrating the architectural adaptation of defensive structures to natural cliff formations.
Visitors can explore multiple sections including the Tower of Homage, main cistern, southwest ramparts, and various storage areas through defined routes.
The fortress contained a self-sustaining system with cultivation areas, water storage, mills, stables, and facilities designed for extended siege situations.
