Fabra Observatory, Astronomical observatory with double telescope in Tibidabo, Spain
Located at 415 meters elevation on Tibidabo hill, the Fabra Observatory features both astronomical and photographic telescopes with 38-centimeter apertures.
The Royal Academy of Science and Arts of Barcelona established this facility in 1904 after relocating from La Rambla due to increasing light pollution.
The Art Nouveau building, designed by architect Josep Domènech i Estapà, stands as a Cultural Asset of National Interest in Barcelona.
Visitors can join guided tours on Fridays and Saturdays from October to May, with presentations available in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
The observatory maintains active research programs in three distinct fields: astronomy focusing on asteroids and comets, meteorology, and seismology.
