Pedrera, Municipal district in Seville Province, Spain

Located in southern Spain, Pedrera spans over 60 square kilometers of territory at an elevation of 456 meters above sea level.

The settlement evolved from a Chalcolithic site named Barba during Phoenician times to Ilipula Minor under Roman administration, focusing on agricultural development.

The town celebrates the Fiesta de la Candelaria in February with over 500 bonfires lit throughout the streets and neighborhoods.

The municipality lies 110 kilometers from Seville, with convenient access to three airports: Moron Air Base, Cordoba Airport, and Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport.

The town's name originates from its medieval stone quarries that supplied ammunition for artillery cannons, reflected in its coat of arms with fourteen cannonballs.
