Puig de l'Ofre, Mountain summit in Escorca, Spain
Puig de l'Ofre rises to 1093 meters above sea level in the Serra de Tramuntana range, featuring steep slopes covered with pine forests.
Ancient paths leading to the summit were utilized by local smugglers who transported goods through the mountains during the 19th century.
The mountain area contains traditional limestone kilns and snow houses that demonstrate the historical industrial practices of Mallorcan mountain communities.
The ascent starts from Cuber Reservoir parking area and follows the GR 221 trail, requiring approximately 6 hours for a complete round trip.
From the peak, visitors observe both artificial lakes of Cuber and Gorg Blau, creating a rare dual-reservoir view in the Balearic mountains.
