The Madrid Spain Temple features Italian Carrara marble walls and a central spire topped with a statue of the angel Moroni at 682 meters elevation.
The temple opened in March 1999 as the first Mormon temple in Spain, following the 1967 religious liberty law that permitted official church recognition.
This religious building includes four instruction rooms, four sealing chambers, and a baptistry where Latter-day Saints perform traditional Mormon ceremonies.
Located at 2 Calle del Templo, the temple requires advance scheduling for ceremonies and provides clothing rental services for religious ordinances.
The temple contains a Lladró figurine of the Christus statue in its foyer, presented as a gift to the Spanish royal family during dedication ceremonies.
