Ermita de Sant Ramon is a small single-nave chapel with a bell gable and a sacristy, set in open countryside on the border between Sant Boi de Llobregat, Viladecans, and Sant Climent de Llobregat. The building follows a historicist style and has a plain, compact facade that blends into the flat landscape of the Llobregat plain.
The chapel was built at the start of the 17th century and later used as a fortified position during the First Carlist War. After the secularization of 1835 it fell into disrepair, and it was only through later restoration work that it recovered its current form.
The hermitage is dedicated to Saint Raymond of Penyafort, a Catalan saint with deep roots in the local religious tradition. On certain feast days, people from the surrounding villages gather here, keeping the place connected to community life.
The chapel sits outside any town center, in a flat, open area, and is easiest to reach by car or on foot from one of the three surrounding municipalities. Because the location is rural, it is worth planning your route in advance and wearing comfortable shoes if you walk.
