Architects Francesc Cavaller and Josep Soteras designed this sports facility, which opened its doors on October 23, 1971 as part of FC Barcelona's expansion.
The venue functions as the home base for FC Barcelona's ice hockey division while providing skating opportunities for local residents.
The arena accommodates 1,256 spectators and maintains regular schedules for public skating sessions, hockey matches, and figure skating training.
During the 1992 Summer Olympics, the facility served as a preparation area for athletes competing in judo, taekwondo, and roller hockey events.
