Platja Nord

Platja Nord is an urban beach stretching along the coast for about 5 kilometers with a gradual slope into the water. The sandy area spans roughly 70 meters wide, providing ample space for relaxation and outdoor activities.

The beach sits below the 14th-century castle that overlooks Peniscola, which once served as residence for Pope Benedict XIII during a period of church division. This medieval fortress remains a defining feature of the landscape above the shore.

The promenade that runs along the shore serves as a social meeting point where locals gather for evening strolls and celebrations throughout the year. This connection between sand and town makes the beach an integral part of community life rather than just a separate recreational space.

The beach has lifeguards on duty and offers showers and restroom facilities for visitors throughout the day. Wheelchair access is available, and recreational sports can be set up along the sand.
