Torre de la Rosaleda, Deconstructivist skyscraper in Ponferrada, Spain.
Torre de la Rosaleda is a skyscraper in Ponferrada standing 107 meters tall with 30 floors characterized by distinct projections on the upper eastern and western sections. The building sits on a 12-story base and combines residential and office spaces throughout its structure.
Construction of the building began in 2006 and was completed in 2009 under the direction of Grupo Begar León. This project shaped modern development in Ponferrada during the 2000s.
The tower was designed by Juan Francisco Alvarez Quiros and displays broken forms typical of deconstructivist design. The irregular lines and tilted surfaces shape Ponferrada's skyline in an unexpected way.
The building has ten elevators distributed throughout its structure to facilitate vertical movement. Visitors and residents can use these elevators to move quickly between different levels.
The building is the tallest structure in the entire Castile and León region, defining the city's skyline. This height makes it visible from many points across and around Ponferrada.
