Playa San Amaro

Playa San Amaro is an urban beach along Ceuta's coast with golden sand mixed with gravel and a gently sloping shoreline. The narrow strip extends about 280 meters and remains suitable for swimming throughout the year.

The beach grew alongside Ceuta's expansion as a key port city and remains an important coastal area in the region. Its position shaped how the city developed from the start.

Access to the beach is via the N-352 road and regular cleaning maintains good conditions. It is best to visit during daylight hours when other visitors are present.

The beach sits at a higher elevation with views across the Mediterranean toward the nearby Monte Hacho fortress in the distance. This combination of water and fortification creates an unusual urban backdrop.
