Ereaga

Ereaga is an urban beach with fine golden sand that stretches approximately 880 meters along the Getxo coastline. The beach features shower facilities, changing rooms, and lifeguard services, with waves suitable for swimming and water sports.

This location evolved from its roots as a working port area into a recreational destination for the community. The development of high water quality standards and comprehensive services earned it Blue Flag certification, marking its transformation.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors swim, surf, and play beach sports throughout the year. The waterfront has become integral to daily life in the area, especially during warmer months when the sand fills with people.

The beach is easily accessible via the Neguri metro station or regional bus lines serving the area. Visitors should be prepared for changing conditions, as wave strength and weather vary throughout the year.

The waterfront promenade connects the old Algorta port with the Arriluce quay while passing 19th-century mansions. Walking this path lets you see the Galerías de Punta Begoña and the architectural heritage of the area.
