Museo Marítimo de Asturias

The Maritime Museum of Asturias exhibits extensive collections of marine biology specimens, fishing equipment, navigation tools, and traditional boat construction materials.

Established in 1948 by the Gozón City Council, the museum presents the evolution of maritime activities through more than fifty scale models from different periods.

The museum contains four main sections focusing on marine biology, ship carpentry, traditional fishing methods, and navigation history of the Cantabrian coast.

The museum opens Monday through Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, with reduced Sunday hours and free admission on Mondays.

The facility maintains specialized documentary archives and a maritime library, supporting research about northern Spanish coastal traditions and naval engineering.
