Plà i Llevant is a wine region that covers around 439 hectares of vineyards across the eastern plains of Mallorca. The limestone-rich soils support a diverse range of grape varieties that flourish in this location.

Romans started cultivating grapes in this region over 2000 years ago following the conquest of the island by Quintus Caecilius Metellus. This ancient tradition remains deeply rooted in the landscape and continues to shape how wine is produced here.

Local winemakers blend traditional methods with both native grape varieties like Callet and Manto Negro and international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon. This combination reflects how the island has absorbed different wine influences over time.

Visitors can explore thirteen wineries spread across the region, with most offering guided tours and tastings from Monday to Saturday by advance reservation. It is helpful to call ahead to secure a spot and ensure you get the best experience at your chosen location.
