Puig de Dòrria

Puig de Dòrria rises to 2,547 meters above sea level, featuring alpine landscapes with diverse flora and mountain trails connecting neighboring valleys.

The mountain served as a territorial landmark between the regions of Ripollès and Cerdanya, marking natural boundaries since medieval geographical divisions.

Local shepherds maintain traditional stone huts across the mountain slopes, providing emergency shelter for hikers traversing between Planoles and Oceja.

The ascent starts from Planoles village, following a marked path through black pine forests toward the geodesic vertex at the summit.

From December to March, the summit accumulates substantial snow depths, transforming the mountain into a natural barrier between Mediterranean and continental climates.
