Museo Jovellanos, Municipal museum in Cimadevilla district, Gijón, Spain.
The museum occupies a palatial house with two towers and showcases a collection of 650 pieces of Asturian art from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The building, constructed in the late 15th century, underwent renovations in the 16th century and in 1758 before becoming the birthplace of Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos.
The exhibition spaces present manuscripts, books, and personal belongings of Jovellanos, along with artworks by Dionisio Fierros Álvarez and Joaquín Vaquero Palacios.
The museum opens Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:30, offering free admission and guided tours for all visitors.
The adjacent Los Remedios chapel contains the mausoleum of Jovellanos and houses prints by Goya donated by Carmen and Severo Ochoa.
