Golfet beach

Golfet is a small beach along the Mediterranean coast featuring golden sand and calm waters. The shoreline is enclosed by tall cliffs and pine groves that form a natural cove.

The area was a center of fishing villages that shaped the region since medieval times. These coastal settlements provided a base for trade and fishing across centuries.

Local fishermen continue their traditional practices at El Golfet, maintaining centuries-old techniques for catching Mediterranean fish species throughout the seasons.

The beach is reachable via a marked coastal path from Calella de Palafrugell, though parking is limited during summer months. It is wise to arrive early or walk from the nearby area instead.

The cove is so small and well-protected that it feels like a private lagoon on calm days. The shallow, clear water is excellent for snorkeling and exploring marine plants.
