Playa del Cura

Playa del Cura is a sandy beach stretching about 325 meters along the Mediterranean near Torrevieja. The waterfront is about 27 meters wide and offers a straightforward layout with sandy sections throughout.

The beach took shape in the 1960s when Torrevieja started developing its coastline for visitors. The site gradually gained its current amenities as local tourism expanded over the decades.

The promenade serves as a meeting place where residents spend their evenings and social interactions happen naturally throughout the year. Families and groups gather here to enjoy the sea views and pass time together.

Facilities like changing rooms, showers, and first-aid stations are positioned along the beach for visitor convenience. Lifeguards patrol the water during the main swimming season from June through September.

Water temperatures remain relatively warm year-round, making swimming possible even outside the main summer months. This mild condition stems from the bay's specific location and Mediterranean currents.
