Submarino S-61 clase Delfín

The S-61 Delfin submarine stretches 57.75 meters in length and contains twelve torpedo tubes, representing naval engineering from the 1970s Spanish fleet.

Built in Cartagena shipyards and launched in 1972, this submarine served in the Spanish Navy from 1973 to 2003, completing over 2,500 operational voyages.

The vessel stands as the first floating submarine museum in Spain, demonstrating the maritime capabilities and naval expertise of the Spanish military forces.

Located in Torrevieja's Inner Harbor, the submarine museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 09:30 to 13:30, with guided tours through control rooms and crew quarters.

The submarine underwent modifications in 2019 to accommodate visitors with different mobility needs, making naval history accessible to all guests.
