Description
Parc de la Barceloneta is a park in the La Barceloneta neighborhood with three distinct sections that connect grassy areas, paved pathways, and open spaces toward the Mediterranean Sea. The layout provides room for different recreational activities and sports.
History
Before 1989, the Catalana de Gas factory occupied this site as an industrial facility serving the region. A water tower from 1905 designed by José Doménech y Estapà still stands as a reminder of that industrial past.
