Jardines de Alfàbia

Jardines de Alfàbia is a historic garden in Bunyola with a long avenue of tall plane trees leading to a central patio typical of Mallorcan manor houses. The grounds include multiple garden sections surrounding the old house, featuring various plant types and water features throughout.

The property was built in the 12th century as a manor house with Arabic influence at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains. Over the centuries it was transformed and expanded by successive owners who added features from Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque periods.

The lower section holds a pond with water lilies and native Garballons palm trees, a protected species of botanical interest. These water features served practical purposes for irrigating the gardens and keeping the surroundings cooler.
