Parc de la Guineueta, Public park in Nou Barris, Barcelona, Spain.
Parc de la Guineueta is a public park in Nou Barris that stretches linearly between residential blocks with two parallel main paths. These paths connect through a small wooded section and lead to sports facilities situated on higher ground.
The park was established in 1971, transforming a former ravine into recreational space for the neighborhood. Its design was overseen by Joaquim Casamor, who directed Barcelona's Parks and Gardens department at that time.
The park contains a monument to Blas Infante with eight columns representing Andalusian provinces, funded by Barcelona's Andalusian Center in 1982.
The park offers table tennis facilities, playgrounds, and dedicated dog areas open daily from 10:00 to 23:00. The main entrance is located at Plaza de la Republica 9 with good pedestrian access from the surrounding residential neighborhood.
An iron fox sculpture stands by the lake, referencing the park's name Guineueta, which means little fox in Catalan. This sculpture is an easy-to-miss detail that many visitors overlook while exploring the park.
