Casa-Museo de Machado

Casa-Museo de Machado is a literary museum in Segovia that documents the life and work of Antonio Machado. The collection includes original furniture, personal items, and exhibits about his career spread throughout several rooms.

The building served as residence and workplace for Antonio Machado from 1919 to 1932 while he worked as a teacher in Segovia. During this time the house became an important center of the city's literary activity.

The rooms display manuscripts and personal items that reveal how Machado shaped Spanish poetry of his era. You can see evidence of his creative process and connections with other writers through original correspondence and working notes.

The museum is located at Cuesta de los Desamparados 5 and is open from Wednesday to Sunday during visiting hours. Guided tours are offered on Saturdays and help visitors understand the collections better.

The garden contains a reproduction of a sculptured bust of the poet along with a ceramic artwork made specifically for the space. These artistic elements give the outdoor area a distinct character that invites quiet reflection.
