The Spanish government designated Torre Valentina as a Cultural Asset of National Interest, recognizing its architectural and historical value for the region.
The tower lacks internal stairs or ground-level entrance, requiring special equipment to access its interior chambers and upper levels.
During the 1960s, the tower became integrated into an urban development project, with modern buildings constructed around its maritime-facing side.
