Can Batlló, 19th century textile factory in La Bordeta, Barcelona, Spain
The vast industrial complex of Can Batlló spans an area equivalent to Camp Nou stadium, featuring multiple buildings for textile production and community activities.
Built in 1878 by Joan Batlló i Barrera, the factory operated with 24,000 spindles and 722 looms, employing 950 workers during its industrial peak.
Since 2011, the space operates as a community-managed center with workshops, a library, cultural activities, and urban gardens maintained by local residents.
