Es Carbó

Es Carbó is a 1500-meter stretch along the Mediterranean coast featuring soft white sand backed by natural dunes. The water is clear and the beach remains undeveloped by commercial operations.

The beach has preserved its natural state over decades through protection efforts and remained free from commercial development since local conservation measures took effect. These preservation efforts have protected the area from major changes.

The beach welcomes naturist practices, reflecting a Mediterranean tradition that emerged along coastal areas starting in the 1960s. Visitors encounter a relaxed attitude toward the natural body that forms part of the local seaside culture.

Visitors should plan for a 30-minute walk from the nearest parking area and bring water, food, and sun protection since there are no facilities on site. The remote location requires self-reliance and preparation.

The surrounding wetlands and salt flats support several migratory bird species and form an important ecological zone within the Balearic Islands. This combination of beach and protected habitat makes the location appealing to both swimmers and bird watchers.
