Church of Santa María, Tordesillas, Gothic Catholic church in Tordesillas, Spain
The church contains a single nave divided into four sections with Tuscan pilasters and barrel vaults decorated with classical plasterwork.
The church stands on the site of a former mosque and underwent architectural changes between the 16th and 18th centuries, combining Gothic and Escorial styles.
The church maintains several religious brotherhoods of Tordesillas Holy Week and houses processional statues including the Virgin of Solitude and Christ of Mercy.
The building features three entrance portals, though currently only the main entrance remains in active use for visitors and worshippers.
The tower clock incorporates bronze allegories of the four seasons within its mechanism, earning it the local name 'the loose clock'.
