Teatro Cine Fraga, Cultural theater and cinema in Vigo, Spain
Located at Rua Uruguay 3-5, Teatro Cine Fraga features regional architectural elements with granite walls and decorative features inspired by Santiago Cathedral.
The theater, designed by architect Luis Gutiérrez Soto in 1942, opened its doors in 1948 with a special screening of the film Botón de ancla.
The venue combines cinema screenings and theatrical performances in a 7,000-square-meter space, contributing to the entertainment landscape of Pontevedra Province.
The Galician government and Deputación de Pontevedra purchased the building in 2024 for 9.3 million euros to transform it into a cultural center.
The structure incorporates a split portico with neobaroque decorations and linked arches in its upper gallery, reflecting traditional Galician architectural elements.
