Iglesia de San Pedro, Gothic parish church in Lugo, Spain
The church displays a Latin cross layout with a four-sided roof over the transept, supported by wooden structures and four toral arches.
The church belonged to the Franciscan monastery, which according to local records was established in 1214 during Saint Francis of Assisi's pilgrimage.
The interior contains important burial sites, including the tombs of Pedro de Trastámara, Pedro F. Bolaño, and Rodrigo Alonso de Saavedra.
Located within Lugo's Roman walls, the church features a main entrance made of granite blocks with a large window above for natural light.
During restoration work in the 1970s, workers discovered a hexagonal crypt that served as a temporary resting place for bodies.
