Castle of Segura de León

Castle of Segura de León is a stone fortress sitting on a sloping hill, featuring several prismatic and cylindrical towers reinforcing its irregular perimeter walls. The complex includes a courtyard, various defensive structures, and vantage points overlooking the surrounding landscape.

The fortress was built in the 13th century as headquarters for the Order of Santiago and served as an important administrative center until 1833. During this time, the castle underwent various modifications that shaped its current form.
