Playa Santa María del Mar

Playa Santa María del Mar stretches for 650 meters along the coast with fine golden sand and two protective stone breakwaters that create a shell-like shape. The bays between the breakwaters offer calmer water areas where swimmers can enjoy protected conditions.

This coastal section is part of Cádiz, a city whose history stretches back over 3000 years. The location of this beach still shows traces of this long human settlement on the Atlantic coast.

Locals affectionately call this place "La Playita de las Mujeres" and it remains deeply woven into daily coastal life. Many residents return regularly to spend time with family and friends, especially when the weather is warm.
