Bullring of Antequera, Bullring in Antequera, Spain
The Plaza de Toros features white limestone Tuscan columns, semicircular arches, and a gabled roof covered with traditional Arab tiles.
The construction of this regionalist architecture bullring began in 1848 with wooden upper stands, which underwent complete transformation under city ownership in 1980.
The permanent exhibition of bullfighting art within the arena presents artifacts and documents that demonstrate the evolution of this Spanish tradition.
Located at Paseo María Cristina, the bullring welcomes visitors daily from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM with guided tours available throughout the year.
The main entrance door, constructed in 1984, incorporates architectural elements inspired by 18th-century Antequera building techniques.
