Charco las Palomas

Charco las Palomas is a rocky cove along the Gran Canaria coastline, featuring natural stone formations and clear ocean waters. The shore is surrounded by volcanic cliffs that create a sheltered inlet.

This coastal area has been used by fishermen since the early settlements of Gran Canaria. Residents adapted to the rocky environment and developed traditional fishing methods passed down through generations.

The beach serves as a gathering place for locals, especially during warmer months when residents come to swim and spend time by the water. The rocky shoreline shapes the character of the area and connects the community to the sea.

The beach is reachable via the coastal path from Arucas and offers easy access to the water. There are no extensive facilities on site, so plan ahead and allow time to explore the area comfortably.

The natural pools within the rock formation fill and empty with each tide change, creating varied swimming and exploration zones. This constantly changing nature makes each visit feel different.
