Placeres Beach, also called A Posta Beach, is a 50-metre-long, almost straight and flat beach of fine white sand facing the Ria de Pontevedra in the parish of Lourizán, between the port shipyards and Cape Os Placeres. It faces north-west and lies close to the PO-11 motorway, with views of the ria and Tambo Island.

A grand bathhouse hotel opened in 1902 at a nearby headland and served the wealthy as luxury accommodation. The building was later converted into a school and reflects how the area's purpose changed over time.

In the spring of 1936, press advertisements promoted Placeres beach alongside hotels, restaurants and bathing houses, and the tram offered 10-trip round-trip vouchers for 4.25 pesetas. Bathing here was a fashionable summer pastime in the class-conscious society of the time. Locals also call it "playa de los funcionarios", because public employees from Pontevedra came to swim before lunch.

The shore has shower facilities and a refreshment stand for visitors. It is easy to reach by a four-lane road that runs directly to the waterfront.
