Muelle de Churruca, Maritime dock in Las Arenas, Spain.
The Churruca Dock extends for 248 meters along the right bank of the Nervion River mouth, connecting Las Arenas Beach with the Vizcaya Bridge.
Engineer Evaristo de Churruca designed this dock in the late 19th century to improve port infrastructure and allow large vessels into Bilbao's harbor.
The entrance features an obelisk monument depicting a man confronting the sea, representing human triumph over natural elements.
The dock includes two pedestrian walkways separated by gardens, with unrestricted bicycle access and direct connections to nearby streets.
Local residents named it La Mojijonera due to the numerous mussels that gathered between the dock stones, providing ingredients for regional dishes.
