Castillo de Biniés, Medieval castle in Canal de Berdún, Spain.

The rectangular fortress stands on a cliff edge above the Veral River, featuring four defensive towers and an open central courtyard.

Originally built as a defensive tower in the Middle Ages, the castle underwent major renovations in the 16th century under the Urriés family ownership.

The castle's chapel contains Renaissance murals with octagonal and square coffers, displaying Latin inscriptions referencing Mary Magdalene.

The castle remains visible from all access points to the town of Biniés, rising prominently above the surrounding buildings.

The Renaissance wooden ceilings were sold to William Randolph Hearst, who transported them to his residence in San Simeon, California.
