Edificio de la antigua Aduana de Bilbao

The Edificio de la antigua Aduana features a combination of neoclassical and Herrerian architectural elements across its three-story structure on Uribitarte promenade.

Built in 1890 by architect Eladio Iturría, the former customs building processed goods arriving at the Port of Bilbao until its renovation in 2018.

The building represents the architectural evolution of Bilbao through its main facades facing Barroeta Aldamar Street and Pío Baroja Square.

The building houses multiple government services, including the Provincial Traffic Department and Immigration Office on the ground floor.

After extensive renovations, the building reopened on November 2, 2020, consolidating various public administration services of Bizkaia in one location.
