The Jardines de Albia spans 6000 square meters, divided into two sections separated by Ibáñez de Bilbao Street, featuring tall plane trees and water features.
The gardens emerged at the end of the 19th century as part of Bilbao's urban expansion, surrounded by notable buildings reflecting the architectural styles of that period.
The garden houses statues of significant figures, including writer Antonio de Trueba and Basque Nationalist Party founder Sabino Arana Goiri near the Palace of Justice.
Located opposite the historic Café Iruña, the gardens provide numerous benches under shade trees where local workers gather during lunch breaks.
The space combines two distinct areas: the main 4500-square-meter garden and the 1500-square-meter San Vicente Plaza, featuring a fountain with a woman holding an amphora.
