Convento de Santa Clara, Religious convent in Valencia, Spain.
The three-floor convent features a central square courtyard functioning as a cloister, with teresian brick walls and mixed masonry construction throughout the structure.
Designed by architect Ramón Lucini Callejo in 1911, this convent served as both a male and female prison during and after the Spanish Civil War.
The building incorporates Valencian Art Nouveau elements with medieval architectural influences, displaying a neoclassical church with a single nave.
Located at Avenida Pérez Galdós 119, the convent restricts public access to the church area, which visitors enter through a small entrance patio.
A monolith installed in 2021 near the convent commemorates the women who were imprisoned here during the Franco regime.
