Cine Capitol, Art Deco movie theater in Sant Francesc, Valencia, Spain
The Cine Capitol building features two prominent towers framing its facade, with exposed brick walls and geometric Art Deco decorations across its four floors.
Architect Joaquín Rieta Síster designed the Cine Capitol, which opened in 1931 and operated as a cinema until its closure in June 1996.
The interior spaces, designed by Amadeo Roca and the Boix brothers, included a large-scale sculpture and decorative elements that exemplified Art Deco aesthetics.
Located at Calle Ribera 16, between Calle Játiva and Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the building now serves commercial and office purposes while maintaining its exterior structure.
The cinema contained 1429 seats during its operation and displayed an artwork by Arturo Boix depicting a reclining female figure above the screen.
