Parque Agustín Rodríguez Sahagún is a large green space in the Valdeacederas neighborhood of Madrid's Tetuán district, covering around 18 hectares. It has open lawns, tree-lined paths for walking and cycling, playgrounds, sports facilities, a dog area, and an open-air auditorium.
The oldest part of the park, located between Calle Marqués de Viana and Calle Capitán Blanco Argibay, was formerly known as Parque de la Huerta del Obispo. The newer section, added between 2000 and 2003, was built on the site of a tree nursery that the Canal de Isabel II company had created in the 20th century.
The park has an open-air auditorium that hosts concerts and neighborhood events. On sunny afternoons, residents of Valdeacederas gather there for community activities.
The park is at Paseo de la Dirección 301 and can be reached by several metro lines (1, 7, and 9) or by bus, with multiple stops nearby. Mornings and early evenings tend to be less crowded, and in summer it is worth bringing water and sun protection.
The park has a decorative fountain fitted with a water clock, where the flow of water marks the time. This unusual feature stands out from typical park design and draws the attention of many visitors.
