Puy du Fou España, Theme park in Toledo, Spain
Puy du Fou España is a theme park in Toledo, Spain, centered on live performances about Spanish history. The site includes several open-air theaters, reconstructed villages, and settings that represent different centuries.
The park opened in March 2021 as the second location after the French original from 1978. The founders chose Toledo for its central location and its long history as a former capital.
Visitors walk through reconstructed settings where costumed performers demonstrate period activities such as blacksmithing, falconry, and medieval trades. The park takes its name from the French original and adapts its storytelling format to Spain's own timeline.
The park sits about an hour south of Madrid by car and operates during selected months of the year with rotating showtimes. Visitors should plan several hours to see the main performances.
The evening show brings together horses, birds of prey, and performers on a stage that covers several hectares and incorporates parts of an artificial lake. More than 200 people work on this single performance at the same time.
