Casa Antón

Casa Antón is an Art Nouveau building in downtown Ferrol featuring a striking hexagonal bay window at its corner. Large wooden windows dominate the facade, and the structure is topped with a distinctive spire.

The building was completed in 1918 by architect Rodolfo Ucha Piñeiro. Modifications in 1960 added an extra floor to the original structure.

The entrance courtyard shows design elements from Andalusia, reflecting the heritage of the original owner's wife through its architectural details. This connection brings a touch of southern Spanish character to the building's interior spaces.

The building is located at Rua Pintor Imeldo Corral 18 and currently serves as the headquarters of an educational institution. The historic features are visible from the street, though the interior functions as a private school campus.

The ground floor features double-leaf cement spaces, a structural detail visitors often overlook. The upper two floors are adorned with small handcrafted balconies that add extra decorative charm to the facade.
