Palacio de los Marqueses de Viana, Renaissance palace in Garcíez, Spain
The palace features a rectangular layout with two courtyards, multiple galleries, and a main facade characterized by horizontal lines and stone ornaments.
The construction started in 1548 under the direction of Díaz Sánchez de Quesada III, who served as Corregidor of Segovia for the Catholic Monarchs.
The building houses collections of Renaissance medallions, heraldic symbols, and decorative elements that reflect the architectural style of 16th century Jaén province.
The palace requires extensive restoration work as it remains on the Red List of Endangered Heritage sites since February 2015.
The central courtyard contains a circular fountain base surrounded by columns and decorated with heraldic elements of the Quesada family.
