Playa de Santa Pura, Beach in Lepe, Spain.
Playa de Santa Pura is a beach along the coast of Lepe with fine golden sand and moderate wave conditions. It stretches along the shoreline with consistent width and offers different sections for various types of beach activities.
The beach was created in 2014 when the municipality of Lepe separated it from the adjoining Nueva Umbria beach to develop tourism along this coastal section. This separation allowed for better management of different use zones.
The beach has different sections for various activities, with a designated naturist area at one end that has been officially recognized for some years now.
The beach can be reached through footpaths from parking areas near eastern La Antilla or along the edges of Camino de Nueva Umbria. It is advisable to arrive early during peak times or to choose quieter times of day.
The beach borders the Piedras River Marshes and Flecha del Rompido Sands Nature Reserve, creating a protected natural environment that attracts birds and other wildlife. This location makes it a good spot for observing coastal nature.
