The red brick manor contains 30 rooms across three floors, with architectural elements reflecting French baroque influences in its design and construction.

The estate's origins date to 1539, becoming a manorial property in 1582 when Alastalo and Simola properties were converted into a manor estate.

The property belonged to the Standertskjöld family for six generations, representing the Finnish nobility's role in rural land management and architecture.

The current main building, constructed between 1900 and 1901, sits within an expanded park area that was developed during the 1840s.

The estate maintained a fideikomissi system, ensuring inheritance passed to the eldest male descendant, with its peak size reaching 4,745 hectares.
